The Opportunity
The Senior Manager, Education Innovation plays a critical role in shaping Western Sydney University’s approach to future-focused learning. Reporting to the Executive Director, Innovation, this position leads the development and delivery of innovative education initiatives that enhance digital capability, industry relevance, and student outcomes.

You will operationalise strategic priorities by progressing programs that build AI literacy, digital fluency and new learning models. Collaboration is central to the role, working closely with Schools, Divisions, Institutes, The College and external partners to co-create scalable solutions aligned with Western’s 2030 strategy.

This role also champions a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring alignment with regulatory frameworks while exploring emerging technologies and future-facing pedagogical approaches. You will contribute to measurable impact through strong governance, project leadership, commercial acumen, and a commitment to enhancing learning experiences and graduate success.

What Success Looks Like:

• Delivering high-impact education innovation initiatives including AI literacy programs, digital bootcamps and industry-aligned learning models.
• Building strong internal and external partnerships that support co-designed learning experiences and new tertiary pathways.
• Embedding digital capability and AI skills across curriculum and staff development programs.
• Demonstrating measurable improvements in student engagement, employability and return on investment.

About You

• Postgraduate qualifications or equivalent experience in education, with demonstrated expertise in education innovation.
• Proven leadership capability in complex environments, with experience driving change and leading multi-sector partnerships.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills to deliver creative solutions in higher education and industry contexts.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence across diverse stakeholder groups
