The Opportunity
Western Sydney University is seeking a Project Manager, Research Transformation to oversee a portfolio of major research‑focused digital initiatives that strengthen the University’s research administration ecosystem.
In this role you will manage key projects within the Research portfolio including the implementation of the Endpoint IQ Research Ethics Management System and remaining integration activities for StudyLink and Banner. You will work closely with senior academic, research and IT stakeholders to ensure projects are well planned, well governed and delivered to agreed timelines, scope and quality.
You will coordinate cross‑functional teams, oversee vendor engagement and procurement activities, track project financials, and identify and mitigate risks. You will ensure the successful delivery of technology integrations and improvements that support compliance, improve user experience and contribute to Western’s research performance. Your work will enable improved systems, processes and data flow for researchers, administrators and applicants.
What Success Looks Like:
- Effective delivery of research‑aligned projects, meeting scope, time and quality expectations.
- Proactive identification, communication and mitigation of project risks and issues.
- Strong collaboration with senior research stakeholders and technical teams.
- Accurate management of project budgets, reporting and financial forecasting.
- Clear project documentation including plans, risks, issues and governance reporting.

About You
- Demonstrated experience managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders, dependencies and deliverables.
- Strong capability in project budgeting, cost control and financial reporting.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating procurement and managing vendors.
- Skilled in identifying and mitigating risks and resolving issues in complex environments.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills with senior stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational and time‑management capability across multiple concurrent projects.
