Technical Project Manager - EV Smart Charging
Full-time Mid-Senior LevelJob Overview
About the Opportunity:
Are you a technically-grounded project manager passionate about accelerating the future of electric transportation? Our client is a key partner to the world's largest transit agencies and fleets, providing the intelligent charge management systems (CMS) that are critical to their electrification success.
We are seeking a Technical Project Manager - EV Smart Charging to own the end-to-end deployment of our client's cutting-edge technology. In this pivotal role, you will be on the front lines, turning complex technical challenges into seamless, reliable solutions for customers. If you thrive on leading projects, solving intricate integration puzzles, and being a trusted advisor to clients during a transformative time in the industry, we want to hear from you.
Your Mission:
Your primary mission is to lead the successful deployment of our client’s charge management system at various customer sites. You will bridge the gap between high-level strategy and on-the-ground execution, ensuring that from initial design to final commissioning, every project runs smoothly. You will be the technical linchpin and the project conductor, building customer confidence and making complex deployments feel effortless.
What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities):
Own End-to-End Deployment: Lead CMS projects from scoping and planning through commissioning, testing, and final operational handover.
Be the Technical & Client Face: Act as the primary technical point of contact, building trust and managing communication between clients, contractors, OEMs, and internal teams.
Drive Project Execution: Develop project plans, define milestones, manage budgets, coordinate resources, and track progress to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
Hands-On Commissioning & Troubleshooting: Configure, commission, and troubleshoot our client's hardware (power meters, controllers, networking equipment) and resolve complex technical issues with vendors and OEMs.
Coordinate a Complex Ecosystem: Manage multi-vendor environments, driving accountability among charger OEMs, electrical installers, and infrastructure partners to achieve successful integration.
Ensure Quality & Compliance: Develop and manage inspection/test plans (ITPs) and commissioning documentation, ensuring all work meets relevant regulatory and safety standards.
Contribute to Growth: Support presales and bid proposals by providing technical input, risk assessments, and delivery plans.
