Job Overview

We seek a skilled and enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic IT team as a "Database Administrator” This position requires technical leadership as a DBA and is responsible for establishing the direction for maintenance, standards, lifecycle management, design, and implementation approaches for the company’s database-related infrastructure. Creates, evaluates, and implements plans and design proposals for high-impact IT solutions and their use involving leading-edge technologies and methods, considering key factors such as their long-term effectiveness (service delivery and cost), practicality, technical limitations, criticality, and coordinates with Headquarters. Leads or contributes to designs applied to all aspects of database-related infrastructure prototypes and eventual implementation. Performs work of high complexity and derives logical processes based on technical platforms. Engages in performance/integration testing, problem analysis, business, and technical analysis.

Essential Functions:

Technical Leadership (75%)

  • Performs database administration activities.
  • Performs daily based basic database tasks.
  • Performs security administration tasks.
  • Performs basic Unix/Linux administration tasks.
  • Installs, configures, upgrades, and troubleshoots Oracle, SQL Server, Maria and Tibero. databases in Unix/Linux/Windows platforms.
  • Diagnoses database performance bottlenecks and provides enhancements.
  • Writes SQL and Unix/Linux Shell scripts.
  • Creates and maintains operational document procedures.
  • Other Duties as required.

Project Management (25%)

  • Manage an extensive portfolio of projects, tasks, issues, and systems.
  • Manage projects from the initial requirement stage through the completion stage, ensuring appropriate documentation and completion.
  • Conduct/Lead formal project meetings with the team, other departments, and customers,
