Zaden Technologies seeks a Principal Cloud DevSecOps Lead to own Azure IL4–IL6 architecture, GitOps delivery, and Continuous ATO automation for Zaden’s defense programs. This engineer will set technical strategy, lead DevSecOps engineers, and collaborate with program cyber leadership to deliver secure, compliant, and scalable cloud platforms that support mission-critical DoD systems.
Role Responsibilities:
- Define the enterprise blueprint for Azure Government IL4–IL6 landing zones, including networking, identity, and observability.
- Lead GitOps operations with AKS, Helm, and FluxCD; standardize multi-environment promotion and drift management.
- Institutionalize Continuous ATO by generating RMF evidence and compliance artifacts directly from CI/CD pipelines.
- Oversee supply-chain security: SBOM generation, artifact signing, and container hardening via Iron Bank and STIG baselines.
- Mentor engineers and standardize module catalogs, golden images, and compliance guardrails using policy-as-code (OPA/Gatekeeper).
- Engage with primes, subcontractors, and government stakeholders to align accreditation strategy and delivery timelines.
Required Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship; Active Secret clearance (TS/SCI preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in Cloud, DevSecOps, or Cyber Engineering roles.
- Deep expertise with Azure, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure-as-Code automation.
- Proven ownership of RMF/ATO or Continuous ATO outcomes for DoD or IC programs at IL4 or higher.
- Hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD, Helm/FluxCD, OPA/Gatekeeper, and observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
- Excellent stakeholder management and leadership communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Azure certifications (AZ-305, AZ-104), CKA, or Terraform Associate.
- CISSP or CCSP certification.
- Track record leading SITR-like integration and test environments at IL4/IL5 levels.
