Our client is a U.S.-based freight brokerage company focused on providing truckload transportation solutions, with strong expertise in dry van freight and spot market operations. They operate in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, working with a wide network of carriers to ensure reliable capacity and competitive pricing while maintaining a strong focus on service and efficiency.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Carrier Sales Representative to identify reliable carriers, negotiate competitive rates, and oversee the transportation of freight from dispatch through delivery. This role involves daily communication with carriers and drivers, real-time load management, and problem-solving to ensure smooth operations. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and onboard reliable carriers using load boards and internal tools

  • Negotiate competitive rates to secure capacity while maintaining profitability

  • Cover customer freight by matching the most suitable carriers to each load

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with carrier partners

  • Track and trace shipments, ensuring on-time pickup and delivery

  • Communicate daily with dispatchers and drivers to monitor load status

  • Proactively identify and resolve any in-transit issues

  • Maintain accurate load details and updates in the TMS system
