About the Role

The Procurement Category Specialist – Energy Solutions is responsible for assisting the Procurement team, inclusive of Procurement Category Managers, in conducting data analysis, agreed sourcing, supplier negotiations, contract implementation and management activities, and validating benefits claims in accordance with approved category plans and the overarching portfolio plan.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the team across all categories to deliver agreed activities as set out in category plans or in response to business needs.
• Lead tactical procurement initiatives to deliver value to the business
• Conduct analysis of spend and supply markets to identify new opportunities to save money, innovate, improve service and reduce risk
• Leverage experience and subject matter knowledge to support the team and deliver outcomes
• Be a trusted commercial advisor within procurement operations activities
• Apply change management tools and techniques to influence business outcomes
• Prepare periodic management reporting on the portfolio activities, performance and business plans
