Role
We are looking for a Staff Software Development Engineer to join our team. This is a Hybrid role based in Zscaler office location in Hyderabad, reporting to the Director, Software Engineering in the Emerging Tech Department. As part of our innovative team, you will play a critical role in the development and enhancement of our cutting-edge cloud security solutions for the Cellular ecosystem. This is a green field opportunity to define and build a new class of market defining products.
What you’ll do (Role Expectations)

Develop and deliver flexible, reusable UI components for seamless UI creation and integration with Zscaler's API services

Work with Backend, UX engineers, and product managers to design solutions to satisfy the product requirements while being conscious of the end-to-end user experience

Demonstrate self-starter capabilities as a quick learner who can multitask and collaborate effectively in a team environment

Maintain high organization and attention to detail with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and drive them to completion

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)

Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging, securing, or positioning AI-driven solutions to optimize outcomes within your functional domain

5+ years of experience designing and building enterprise-grade software solutions

Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills with hands-on experience developing single-page and modern web applications

Proficiency in ReactJS, React Native, Next.js, Redux, and Flux

Experience with HTML5, CSS3, Tailwind CSS, D3.js, and REST APIs, along with working knowledge of client-side frameworks such as Angular, Backbone, Knockout, and Ember

BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

Experience designing and implementing enterprise-grade security or networking products

Experience with Node.js, D3 charts, and building or packaging JavaScript applications using tools like Gulp or Grunt

Proficiency with testing frameworks such as Mocha, Chai, Jest, Expect assertion library, or Playwright
