Job Overview
Metropolitan College and IEK AKMI, members of Alphabet Education, the largest Educational Group in Greece, are seeking for a highly motivated and experienced People Cost & Workforce Reporting Analyst to join our HR team. The role holder will report to the Group Compensation & Benefits Manager.
People Cost & Workforce Reporting Analyst
Role Summary:
The People Cost & Workforce Reporting Analyst is responsible for analyzing, monitoring, and reporting workforce costs and HR data to support decision-making across the organization. This role acts as the bridge between HR, Finance, and Business Leaders to ensure people-related costs are accurately forecasted, tracked, and reported. The analyst also provides insights into workforce trends, headcount, and compensation to optimize workforce planning and budgeting.
Key Responsibilities:
People Cost Management & Analysis:
- Monitors and analyzes workforce costs, including salaries, benefits, bonuses, and other employee-related expenses.
- Supports annual workforce budgeting and forecasting cycles in collaboration with Finance and HR Business Partners.
- Tracks variances between actuals and budget/forecast, providing insights and recommendation.
Reporting & Insights:
- Develops, maintains, and automates HR dashboards and reports (e.g., headcount/FTEs, attrition, cost per FTE, overtime, etc.).
- Provides regular and ad-hoc reports to senior leadership and HR stakeholders.
- Ensures data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Workforce Planning Support:
- Partners with HR Business Partners and Finance to model workforce scenarios (e.g., growth, reorganization, hiring plans, etc.).
- Analyzes the financial impact of HR initiatives such as salary increases, promotions, and benefits changes.
- Contributes to organizational design discussions with data-driven insights.
Systems & Data Management:
- Sets up and maintains organization-related data in HRIS systems, ensuring structures (e.g., departments, reporting lines, other key data interconnected with Reporting) are set up accurately and high data quality standards are achieved.
- Key Contributor and Key User in setting up relevant systems functionalities in partnership with IT.
- Utilizes HRIS and financial systems to extract and analyze data.
- Continuously improves reporting processes by leveraging automation and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel).
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of HR processes (payroll, compensation, workforce planning).
- High drive & experience in developing relevant new tools that enable monitoring and business decision making.
- Excellent Excel, data modeling capabilities and experience with BI tools.
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with HR, Finance, IT, and business leaders.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in HR analytics, financial planning, or workforce reporting.
- Experience with HRIS, payroll systems, and reporting tools. Preferably with knowledge of Pylon Payroll and Employee Self-Service systems.
- Knowledge of labor cost structures, budgeting, and financial analysis.
