The Marketing Specialist supports the marketing team by creating, organizing, and executing marketing initiatives that promote reverse mortgage awareness and support sales outreach.
This entry-level role is ideal for a detail-oriented communicator who enjoys writing, staying organized, and learning new tools. The specialist will assist with content creation, campaign execution, CRM updates, and loan officer support, while gaining hands-on experience in a specialized and fast-growing segment of the mortgage industry.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation
- Assist in writing and editing content for monthly emails, newsletters, and educational materials.
- Repurpose content for email, web, social, and print channels with guidance from senior marketing leadership.
- Draft basic educational materials such as FAQs, explainer sheets, and borrower or partner summaries.
- Support the creation of marketing assets used by loan officers and referral partners.
Help maintain content version control and ensure materials reflect updated guidelines and compliance requirements.
Project & Campaign Support
- Support the setup, testing, and deployment of marketing campaigns within CRM and automation tools.
- Assist with tracking campaign performance and organizing reports for leadership review.
- Help maintain project timelines, content calendars, and asset inventories.
- Coordinate with creative, compliance, and operations partners to keep deliverables on schedule.
Loan Officer Support
- Assist with creating basic loan officer collateral, including email templates, social posts, and event resources.
- Respond to loan officer marketing requests with direction from senior team members.
- Help maintain the marketing library used by loan officers for outreach.
- Support field teams by ensuring materials are updated, compliant, and easy to access.
Campaign & Program Development (Overall Responsibilities)
- Assist with research on industry trends, competitor content, and audience behavior.
- Help organize marketing programs that support sales, product education, and consumer awareness.
- Prepare drafts and supporting materials for webinars, workshops, CE presentations, and advisor education initiatives.
- Ensure all materials follow compliance guidelines and brand standards.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 0–2 years of marketing, communications, or administrative experience. Experience in financial services is a plus but not required.
- Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills.
- Comfort using CRM and digital marketing tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Total Expert, or similar).
- Ability to learn quickly and manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
- Basic understanding of digital communication channels, including email, social, and web.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn additional platforms.
