We are seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Operations Specialist to support our Personal Lines, Commercial Lines, and Account Management teams. This is a non-customer-facing role focused on policy servicing, processing, documentation, and back-office insurance operations. The ideal candidate is organized, process-driven, and comfortable working across multiple insurance workflows while supporting internal stakeholders such as Account Managers, Loan Officers, and Operations.
Key Responsibilities
Policy Servicing & CSR Support (Non-Customer Facing)
- Process mortgagee clause updates
- Add or remove scheduled coverage
- Follow up on policy discounts
- Make policy edits and corrections (e.g., personal contact information)
- Update billing information, including payment plan changes
- Process policy cancellations
- Review and identify policy changes and assigned tasks (e.g., EZL tasks)
- Add or remove drivers and vehicles
- Update VINs and correct policy details
- Add or update loss payee information
Account Manager Support
- Process new insurance requests from Loan Officers
- Quote new business as requested
- Assist with policy closing tasks, including:
- Sending applications for signature
- Auditing accounts for proper signatures and trailing documents
- Completing endorsement checklists and obtaining required signatures
- Collecting auto payment information
- Binding auto, home, and umbrella policies and sending post-bind documentation to insureds
- Submitting required documents to Loan Officers or Processors for loan closings
Administrative & Operations Support
- Track and monitor insurance licenses
- Assist with accounting, bank reconciliation, and billing tasks
- Track and reconcile commissions
Commercial Lines Support (Non-Customer Facing)
- Complete Certificates of Insurance (COIs)
- Order loss runs
- Perform policy checking and audits
- Complete ACORD forms and supplemental applications
- Update billing information and payment plans
- Process cancellations
- Quote new commercial business
- Audit accounts for proper signatures and documentation
- Follow up on trailing documents
- Perform IVANS download reconciliation
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Previous experience in insurance operations, policy processing, or account support
- Familiarity with personal and/or commercial lines insurance
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established workflows
- Comfortable handling documentation, audits, and data accuracy tasks
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Experience working with agency management systems is a plus (e.g., EZL or similar)
- Reliable, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
