The role

You will oversee the day-to-day vendor management inbox and process flow, ensuring timely, high-quality responses and smooth operation of BAU onboarding activities. You’ll manage one or more team members responsible for vendor onboarding in the Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) system, while retaining oversight of controls and data quality.

Your remit spans due diligence, governance, and continuous improvement of vendor management procedures. You’ll work closely with risk, legal, and business stakeholders to ensure the organisation’s vendor management framework remains robust, compliant, and efficient.

What you’ll do

  • Audit and check the accuracy of vendor processes, including correct risk ratings and spend categories.

  • Manage ongoing due diligence for critical vendors and outsourced arrangements.

  • Step in to complete vendor onboarding for complex, critical, or sensitive cases.

  • Work with Vendor Management & Procurement analysts to produce reporting for stakeholders, including outsourcing registers and process compliance reporting.

  • Track vendor progress through onboarding and due diligence stages, highlighting bottlenecks and risks.

  • Monitor procurement and vendor management KPIs and SLAs, ensuring performance is measured and communicated.

  • Track and follow up on remediation actions resulting from vendor due diligence.

  • Prepare management information for Vendor Management Committees and other governance forums.

  • Improve and maintain vendor onboarding and due diligence procedures in the TPRM tool (such as Aravo), including documentation and manuals.

  • Build strong relationships across the business to understand regulatory, legal, and risk requirements for third-party risk management.

  • Respond to internal and external audit queries on vendor management topics.

  • Support the TPRM lead in reviewing risk and control self-assessments (RCSA) and strengthening vendor management controls.

  • Review lower-risk contracts and legal agreements from a vendor management perspective.

What you’ll bring

  • Significant experience in vendor management and/or procurement

  • Experience auditing and enforcing vendor process compliance.

  • Familiarity with due diligence for critical vendors and outsourced services.

  • Proficiency with vendor management or TPRM systems (e.g. Aravo) and related tools.

  • Strong analytical skills for tracking KPIs, SLAs, progress, and remediation status.

  • Strong Excel and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to review and understand contracts and legal documentation.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop effective stakeholder relationships.

  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, with high attention to detail and compliance.

  • Understanding of regulatory, legal, and risk considerations in Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM).

  • Experience supporting audits and enhancing vendor management controls.

  • Professional certifications (such as CPA, CIA, CISA) are an advantage but not essential.
