Job Overview
Purpose of the role
The candidate for this role will be responsible to plan, execute, and oversee all surveying activities for projects, ensuring accurate data collection, mapping, and analysis while utilizing advanced surveying applications and technologies
Key Responsibilities
Conduct land, construction, and topographical surveys to support project planning and execution.
Prepare and verify survey data, including maps, plans, and reports.
Operate and manage surveying equipment such as Total Stations, GPS, and leveling instruments.
Utilize a wide range of surveying software and applications (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS tools) for data processing and analysis.
Establish and maintain survey control points and benchmarks.
Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project teams to ensure accuracy of project layouts.
Monitor and ensure compliance with legal requirements, land regulations, and safety standards.
Supervise and guide junior surveyors and field assistants.
Perform quality checks on survey data to ensure precision and reliability.
Prepare progress reports and maintain proper documentation of survey activities.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 8 years of proven experience in surveying, preferably in construction, infrastructure, or oil & gas projects
Professional certification or registration with relevant regulatory bodies is an added advantage.
Proficiency in surveying software and applications (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, and related tools)
Ability to interpret technical drawings and plans
Strong knowledge of surveying principles, methods, and best practices
