MEP Engineer
Job Overview
Summary of the role.
The MEP Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, coordinating, supervising, and monitoring Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for construction and infrastructure projects. The role ensures that all MEP installations are executed according to approved designs, project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project timelines.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Coordinate with PM, Managers and Clients and arrange related safety and site works day to day work activities
• BOQ preparations, checking plans, drawings and quantity for accuracy of calculations & contracts billing
• Ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per the drawing
• Manage day to day of the site, including supervision and monitoring the site manpower force and the work of any subcontractors
• Coordinate with vendor for material inspection and any technical issues coordinate with the vendor and resolve the issue
• Oversee testing and commissioning of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and other MEP systems
Required Skills Technical Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5–10 years of experience in MEP engineering within construction, infrastructure, industrial, or tecno commercial projects
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, fire protection, and building management systems.
• Experience in BOQ preparation, cost estimation, and project planning
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, MS Project, and Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
