Job Overview
Purpose of the role
Accountant will be responsible to manage and oversee financial records, reporting, and compliance, with a strong focus on construction project accounting, cost control, and financial accuracy.
Responsibilities
· To maintain proper and accurate records of all daily transactions in accordance with International Accounting Standards.
· Monitor cash flow, manage bank reconciliations, and oversee petty cash and treasury operations.
· Ensure timely filing of statutory returns and other regulatory submissions.
· Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial policies.
· Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
· Assist in budget preparation, financial planning, and variance analysis.
· Prepare financial reports and management reports to support business decision-making.
· Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information
· Maintain all account and finance documents such us invoice, contracts in the filling system for record keeping.
· Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
· Reconciliation of bank, customer, and supplier’s balances.
· Manage the full cycle of asset accounting.
· Manage project-based accounting, including tracking costs, budgets, and expenditures for construction projects.
· Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, financial policies, and accounting standards.
Qualifications required
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
· CPA qualification is required
· Minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience, with prior experience in the construction industry
· Strong understanding of project accounting and cost control
· Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
· Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
