Role Overview

We are seeking a Social Media & Video Content Strategist to take ownership of our organic social media presence. This role is ideal for someone who is both hands-on with video editing and strategic in content planning, with a strong understanding of how social content converts viewers into high-quality leads or clients — not just views.

This is a long-term role with room to grow as the brand expands across platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Video Editing & Content Production

  • Edit short-form video content for Instagram (Reels) and other short-form platforms
    • Typical length: ~1 minute
  • Edit longer-form video content for YouTube
    • Typical length: ~5–7 minutes
  • Assemble clean, engaging edits (no "over-the-top" effects required)
  • Ensure videos are optimized for retention and platform best practices

Content Strategy & Planning

  • Develop daily, weekly, and monthly content plans
  • Work collaboratively to decide what content should be filmed next
  • Identify patterns in performance and suggest improvements
  • Plan content with intentional conversion goals, not just engagement

Organic Growth & Optimization

  • Focus on organic social media growth (no paid ads required initially)
  • Analyze what content performs well vs. poorly
  • Run split tests on hooks, formats, and posting strategies
  • Make data-informed recommendations to improve reach and conversions

Posting & Scheduling

  • Manage posting schedules across platforms
  • Ensure content is published consistently and on time
  • Maintain an organized content calendar

  • Other organic platforms as needed over time

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience with organic social media growth
  • Strong video editing skills for both short-form and long-form content
  • Ability to think strategically about conversion, not just views

  • Efficient, reliable, and organized workflow
