Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Virtual Assistant, Finance to support day-to-day accounting and financial operations. The role involves recreating and reviewing bills, posting accounting entries, mapping transactions to the correct General Ledger (GL), performing reconciliations, and handling ad hoc financial tasks. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of basic accounting principles and P2P processes.
Key Responsibilities
● Recreate, review, and validate bills and invoices in the accounting system.
● Support end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes, including invoice processing and payment support.
● Prepare and post journal entries accurately and on time.
● Perform regular account reconciliations, including bank and credit card reconciliations.
● Map transactions to the appropriate General Ledger (GL) accounts.
● Review and classify credit card transactions and ensure correct GL coding.
● Investigate and resolve discrepancies identified during reconciliations.
● Support month-end and period-end closing activities.
● Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for financial records.
● Handle ad hoc financial and accounting tasks assigned by management.
Required Skills & Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
● Basic understanding of accounting principles and P2P processes.
● Experience with accounting or ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks or similar).
● Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
● Ability to work with large volumes of transactions and data.
● Proficiency in MS Excel (basic to intermediate level).
● Good organizational and time-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
● Prior experience in transaction processing or reconciliation roles.
● Familiarity with credit card expense management.
● Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
