Social Media & Digital Marketing Virtual Assistant

Posted November 25, 2025
Part-Time 500 - 700 USD per-month-salary

Job Overview

Client Industries:

● Real Estate & Coaching (house flipping, moving into commercial real estate, education/coaching)
● Firearms Safety & Training (military and civilian audience)

About the Client The client helps run two growing businesses:
1. Real Estate & Coaching Brand – Residential flipping, moving into commercial real estate, and coaching/education around investing and mindset.
2. Firearms Training Company – An established training business currently serving military contracts and expanding into the civilian market, focusing on gun safety, home defense, and family protection.

Both brands have strong potential but are held back by inconsistent marketing and social media activity. The client is highly creative and energetic but overloaded—social media, website updates, and email marketing often fall to the bottom of the list. The VA will be the primary driver of social media and digital marketing execution across both brands.

Role Summary We are looking for a proactive, high-energy Social Media & Digital Marketing Virtual Assistant who can take ideas and run with them.

Your core mission is to:
● Turn Jeanette and her husband’s expertise into consistent, on-brand content
● Manage social media for two brands (real estate/coaching + firearms training)
● Support light website updates and email marketing (newsletter + sequences)
● Bring structure, consistency, and measurable growth, without needing constant hand-holding This is not a “wait for instructions” role; it is for someone who enjoys ownership, initiative, and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities :

Social Media Management (Two Brands)
● Manage and grow social media accounts for:
○ For the real estate & coaching brand
○ Her husband’s firearms safety & training brand

● Create and maintain content calendars for each brand
● Turn rough ideas, talking points, or voice notes into:
○ Posts, carousels, captions ○ Reels / short-form videos
○ Simple graphics (quotes, tips, before/after, educational snippets)

Coordinate with the client on topics:
○ Suggest prompts: “Talk about X,” “Record a short video on Y”
○ Use those assets to create multiple content pieces
● Schedule content consistently and post at optimal times

● Incorporate basic hashtag research and platform best practices
● Optionally assist with light engagement (comments, DMs) using client-approved tone and guidelines

Email Marketing & Lead Nurture
● Help build and maintain a newsletter for at least one or both brands

Assist with:
○ Setting up or refining a lead magnet
○ Creating or polishing a welcome email sequence
○ Drafting and scheduling periodic email newsletters/updates

● Keep lists organized and ensure consistent communication with subscribers

Website Updates (Husband’s Training Brand)
● Work within Squarespace to: ○ Update copy, images, and class information
○ Suggest and implement basic layout or UX improvements that may improve conversion (signups, inquiries)
○ Ensure social media campaigns and website messaging are aligned

Reporting & Optimization
● Track and summarize basic performance metrics:
○ Follower growth, reach, engagement, clicks
○ Email opens/clicks
● Provide simple, practical insights: what’s working, what isn’t, and what to try next

● Bring proactive suggestions for content themes, experiments, or improvements

Tools & Platforms
Must-Have Experience:
● Instagram (posting, Reels, Stories)
● Facebook (pages/groups basic posting)
● Basic design tools: Canva or similar
● Any modern social scheduling tool (e.g., Meta Business Suite or equivalent)

Nice-to-Haves:
● Squarespace (or similar website builder)
● Email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, ConvertKit, Flodesk, etc.)
● Basic familiarity with using ChatGPT/AI tools to assist with ideation, outlines, or drafts
● Experience working with two distinct audiences/brands at once

Ideal Candidate Profile You might be a great fit if you:
● Have 3+ years of experience in social media management and/or digital marketing for small businesses, coaches, or online brands
● Are comfortable managing content for two different audiences (e.g., real estate/finance and personal safety/training)
● Can take a messy brain dump and turn it into a clear plan and polished content
● Are excellent at self-management: you don’t need to be told every tiny step
● Communicate clearly, confidently, and enthusiastically
● Are comfortable asking smart questions up front, then executing independently
● Are happy to receive feedback and iterate, without taking things personally
● Align with a values-based, safety-focused approach to the firearms training / self-defense niche (no extreme content, strictly safety and responsible ownership framing)

Personality & Working Style (Very Important)
The client specifically values someone who:
● Takes initiative: brings ideas, doesn’t wait to be micromanaged
● Enjoys solving problems instead of asking about every small decision
● Has high energy, positive attitude, and “let’s make this happen” vibes
● Thrives in a slightly chaotic, entrepreneurial environment and helps bring order

Nice-to-Have Experience
● Real estate, investing, or coaching/education brands
● Firearms, tactical, or outdoor brands (especially in a safety / training context)
● Experience building or optimizing simple funnels (social → landing page → email list)
● Past work with creators, personal brands, or couples running a business together
