Engineering Manager

Are you a jack of all trades, if so, our Engineering Manager role will allow you to lead and train engineering team members in all technical and non-technical areas.  This individual will be comfortable leading various projects from start to finish as well as focused on maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

• Ability to troubleshoot and repair all hotel systems including all H.V.A.C&R systems, laundry equipment, kitchen equipment, water and wastewater systems, carpentry, tile, plumbing, painting and minor automotive repairs.
• Assume responsibilities of the Director of Engineering and Engineer Manager in their absence. 
• Maintain complete knowledge of hotel fire system, water system, sewage system, and irrigation system
• Respond to all Guest Requests within a very timely manner
• Follow established safety procedures
• Log and communicate all essential information in Engineering logs
• The ability to handle the purchasing of equipment replacement parts and repairs. This includes contacting vendors for best prices, writing purchase orders, receiving goods and completing projects.
• Ensure proper records are kept relating to all plant and equipment for the hotel including repair and service records.
• Assist in the hiring, training, supervision, scheduling, counseling, and evaluation of performance and planning the activities of maintenance staff including making spot checks on a daily basis
• Duties include emergency on call status

The starting pay range for this position is $80-85,000 annually. This is the pay rate for this position that Solage reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual pay will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.
