• Control costs through close supervision of time spent on assigned clients
• Ensure that the most cost-effective techniques are used e.g., the low-risk areas are not over audited, data analytics applied for high volume low value transactions, smart audit tools and techniques are used
• Plan large audit assignments, timing, staffing and audit budgets on assignment
• Control and supervise subordinates on all assignments to ensure implementation of audit plan
• Prepare status reports and information for presentation to client by partners/managers
• Provide on-the-job training to trainees
• Gain in depth understanding of different industries and business processes at clients.
