Job Overview
- Meet with community organizations to learn about their missions and share information about our mission and goals
- Maintain current knowledge of state and local guidelines and regulations
- Act as liaison between various departments to meet client needs and securing MOUs with existing and new organizations that can provide on-the-job training to our participants
- Conduct searches for suitable job openings and trainings for clients, comparing client qualifications with employer’s requirements
- assigning clients to approved community service sites
- Monitoring client engagement at a community service site and/or tracking attendance
- Collaborating with Employment Coaches to assist with managing a caseload of clients assigned to community service/work experience activities
- Establish rapport with area businesses; maintain on-going relationships with businesses
- Works with businesses to identify job openings, alternative work activities, and training initiatives
- Coordinate job fairs and employer hiring events
- Enlist cooperation of community and business leaders to help increase awareness of available services in the community
- Communicate with other departments and management to develop strategy and solutions
- Represent WeCARE services to the community, host roundtables and monthly community-based organization meetings
