Job Overview
- Prepares, organizes, and maintains accurate, updated information in multiple electronic databases reflecting the entire history of a program participant including log of supportive services issued.
- Provides case management with a focus on helping SNAP E&T participants to prepare for employment that leads to self-sufficiency
- Manages ongoing caseload and assists job seekers in retaining employment based on their skills, capabilities, and interests.
- Manage job seeker progress towards achieving goals by creating and updating plans.
- Schedule and conduct workshops, webinars. and other Job Readiness activities designed to prepare SNAP E&T participants for career opportunities.
- Coordinate with the Business Services team with online learning activities related to individual employment plans and goals, and monitors progress.
- Administer Pre/Post-test assessments
- Conduct assessment of skills, aptitudes and abilities
- Research and identify and deliver appropriate job coaching, mentorship, and support services as needed to help SNAP E&T participants overcome barriers.
- Ensure adequate preparation for all training activities.
- Interpret employer feedback to tailor case management and job coaching as needed.
- Work with the Business Services team to collaborate with area businesses, advisory groups, and agencies to encourage the further development of opportunities.
- Investigate and share ideas regarding post-secondary options and adult services and network with all appropriate community agencies and organizations.
- Develop rapport with SNAP E&T participants in order to mutually explore career options and interests.
- Encourage SNAP E&T participants to maintain career portfolios allowing them to document their learning and skill attainment.
- Work with SNAP E&T participants individually or in groups to problem solve employment issues.
