Scope:
The Expeditors Ground Network Services (GNS) team is a dynamic, cross-functional team responsible for the design, implementation, and execution of a national linehaul network supporting all Expeditors products and services. GNS operates at the intersection of customer service, network management, carrier management, procurement, and compliance—ensuring reliable, efficient, and scalable transportation support for all products.
The Support Services Agent is a GNS Central position supporting a broad range of administrative functions across the network. This role is primarily focused on scheduling support, with additional responsibility for accounting, systems coordination, and operational assistance across cross-border and intermodal transit activities. This position plays a role in maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of scheduling processes while also supporting system updates, data integrity, and financial/administrative workflows related to GNS operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, curious, and adaptable, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues across both administrative and operational areas. This individual will maintain consistent communication with the Expeditors network, GNS Central and regional teams, service providers, and external partners.
Schedule:
Monday – Friday 0800 – 1700 or as need is determined
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage scheduling administration for the GNS network
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of schedules across systems and platforms
- Support scheduling updates, changes, and administrative processes tied to network execution
- Assist with accounting-related processes tied to GNS operations
- Support financial data accuracy and reconciliation across systems
- Coordinate system updates, data integrity, and issue resolution
- Identify and support process improvements across administrative and systems workflows
- Support operational execution and visibility for cross-border and intermodal shipments
- Assist in monitoring network performance
- Communicate delays, issues, and updates across branches, gateways, and service providers
- Coordinate contingency plans to address service disruptions
- Act as a support resource for compliance-related administrative processes
- Assist with ad hoc reporting, analysis, and operational requests
- Perform other duties as assigned
