Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done. NH Maldives Kuda Rah and Minor Hotels employees always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their colleagues. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:
- Ensure all guest rooms are cleaned and maintained at all times in accordance with the hotel’s Standard Operating Procedures.
- Comply with all health and safety requirements, including proper handling and usage of housekeeping chemicals and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of linen inventory, uniforms, and other assigned items where applicable.
- Ensure lost and found items are handled in line with company procedures and that all relevant logs are properly maintained.
- Monitor par levels of linen, towels, and uniforms to ensure they are in line with operational requirements and inventory standards.
- Follow established measures to minimize waste of materials and amenities within the department.
- Maintain security awareness throughout the hotel and report any incidents or concerns to the appropriate Manager.
- Ensure all VIP requirements are properly prepared and executed.
- Ensure all special guest requests are fulfilled promptly, with particular attention to families travelling with children.
- Deliver all guest requests on time and strive to exceed guest expectations wherever possible.
- Properly clean, handle, and maintain all equipment used in daily operations.
- Immediately report any damage, defects, or loss identified in guest rooms.
- Remove room service trays from guest rooms and place them in the designated service area.
- Update and maintain accurate room status reports.
- Report any suspicious persons, sleep outs, or extended “Do Not Disturb” cases to Housekeeping Management.
