their colleagues. Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are:
o Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all marine electrical systems
onboard vessels.
o Maintain and service generators, switchboards, batteries, shore power systems,
navigation lights, control panels, and related marine electrical equipment.
o Ensure proper execution of Preventive Planned Maintenance (PPM) for all electrical
systems.
o Inspect, test, and maintain all shore power supply pedestals to ensure safe and reliable
operation.
o Prepare the Scope of Work (SOW) for the electrical section of each vessel prior to dry
dock, as well as for normal operations, ensuring all requirements and operational
standards are met
o Supervise and verify all electrical work carried out during dry dock and ensure
compliance with approved specifications.
o Conduct final inspections and confirm completion of electrical works before vessel
re-commissioning.
o Ensure timely requisition of electrical spare parts and materials.
o Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and maintenance records.
o Monitor and respond to all message box complaints related to marine electrical issues,
ensure timely rectification, and close the complaints properly in the system.
o Always use proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
o Report accidents, incidents, and unsafe conditions immediately.
o Be on standby for marine electrical emergencies 24/7 and respond promptly when
required.
o Attend and represent the Marine Engineering department during inspections
conducted by authorities, ensuring full compliance and providing all required
technical documentation and support.
o Work independently under the instruction of the Marine Supervisor and Marine
Maintenance Manager.
o Provide regular updates and report to the Marine Supervisor, Marine Maintenance
Manager, Assistant Chief Engineer, and Director of Engineering regarding work
progress, issues, and operational status
