Anantara Bazaruto Island Resort is seeking a visionary and highly skilled Executive Chef to lead our culinary operations in one of Africa’s most exclusive island destinations. This is a rare opportunity to shape world-class dining experiences in a luxury resort setting, blending exceptional international standards with authentic Mozambican and coastal cuisine influences.

As Executive Chef, you will be responsible for driving culinary excellence, innovation, and consistency across all food and beverage outlets, while leading a diverse and passionate kitchen team in a remote island environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and inspire 
  • Design and execute innovative, seasonal menus aligned with luxury brand standards
  • Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional food quality and presentation
  • Manage food cost controls, budgeting, and supplier relationships
  • Champion hygiene, HACCP, and food safety compliance at all times
  • Develop and train kitchen teams, building strong succession pipelines
  • Collaborate with the F&B leadership team to elevate guest dining experiences
  • Drive sustainability initiatives, including local sourcing and waste reduction
  • Maintain strong operational standards in a remote island logistics environment
