About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Oncology Nurse Navigator, a registered nurse specializing in oncology care, to provide individualized guidance to patients across the cancer continuum—from initial suspicion or diagnosis through treatment, survivorship, or end-of-life care. This vital role focuses on reducing barriers to care, coordinating multidisciplinary services, and ensuring the delivery of timely, evidence-based, patient-centered oncology care. Serving as a consistent point of contact, the Oncology Nurse Navigator supports improved patient outcomes, satisfaction, and care efficiency by guiding patients and their families through complex treatment pathways, coordinating diagnostic workups and staging, facilitating timely referrals to oncology specialists (medical, radiation, and surgical), and monitoring adherence to established care timelines.
Qualifications
- Must hold a RN License and bring a minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, including at least 3 years in oncology or a related specialty, along with strong knowledge of cancer biology, staging, and treatment modalities.
- Exceptional communication, coordination, and patient advocacy skills are essential.
Preferred Qualifications
- Oncology Nursing Certification (OCN®) or eligibility within 1–2 years
- Experience in oncology navigation or care coordination.
- Familiarity with oncology accreditation standards and experience working within multidisciplinary oncology programs.
- Experience with genetic testing, oral chemotherapy medications, and community resources preferred.
This position is 8-hour day shifts.
