Construction Estimator
Job Overview
We are seeking Construction Estimator who analyzes construction plans and specifications to estimate the cost of materials, labor, and equipment needed for a project. This role involves to create detailed cost proposals and bids for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness. You will be also monitor project progress, track costs, and may participate in value engineering to optimize project outcomes.
Responsibilities
Analyzing Project Documents
Reviewing blueprints, specifications, and other documents to understand the scope of work.
Estimating Costs
Calculating material quantities, labor hours, equipment needs, and other costs associated with the project.
Preparing Bids
Developing detailed cost estimates and proposals for construction projects, ensuring they are competitive and accurate.
Researching Costs
Utilizing databases, historical data, and market research to determine accurate material and labor costs.
Subcontractor Coordination
Working with subcontractors to obtain quotes and negotiate pricing for specialized work.
Value Engineering
Identifying opportunities to reduce costs or improve project efficiency without compromising quality.
Monitoring Project Costs
Tracking actual costs against the estimated budget and identifying potential cost overruns.
Staying Updated
Keeping abreast of construction industry trends, material costs, and labor rates.
Communication
Collaborating with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to provide cost information and resolve issues.
Software Proficiency
Using construction estimating software and other tools to streamline the estimation process.
Work Schedule
Monday to Friday 9pm – 7pm PHT
