Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Healthcare Administrative Assistant (PART-TIME) to support our healthcare operations remotely. This role involves managing patient communications, coordinating with insurance providers, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate is organized, communicative, and comfortable working independently in a low-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and manage patient appointments
- Answer inbound calls and return missed calls (volume may vary day to day)
- Contact insurance companies to follow up on claims and required documentation
- Follow provided scripts during patient and carrier interactions
- Document all communications with patients and insurance carriers
- Review and verify the accuracy and completeness of claim forms
- Use Excel to track patient visits, claim submission dates, and payment status

Work schedule Monday to Friday 10-30 AM – 3-30 PM EST (25 hours per week)
Requirements
- 1-2 years of previous experience in healthcare administration or similar roles. Medical scheduling experience preferred.
- Experience with medical billing, claims processing, insurance verification will be preferred.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems – HR
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Comfortable working remotely with minimal supervision
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace
- Good communication skills in English (spoken and written)
