Job Overview

The Manager, Strategic Transactions role requires developing investment thesis, financial analysis and due diligence, and providing key strategic insights and recommendations on commercial strategic opportunities. This requires an ability to distil complex commercial problems and present these in a clear, transparent and credible manner to senior executives.

The role involves supporting the entire deal process from deal creation to deal execution. Specifically, the role includes supporting the line management through the process of deal creation, deal analysis and valuation, develop investment thesis, recommendations and communications to management, and monitor and interpret macroeconomic, regulatory and industry developments.

In this role you will:

  • Develop financial metrics and risks for inorganic acquisition opportunities, divestiture opportunities or
  • general commercial initiatives
  • Support target identification, strategic rationale development, financial modelling, due diligence, deal
  • structuring, negotiation, and post-merger integration oversight
  • Prepare Board papers, investment committee submissions, and executive briefings to support
  • transaction decision-making
  • Manage relationships with external advisers, including investment banks, legal counsel, accountants, and actuarial consultants.
  • Collaborate closely with Finance, Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Operations to ensure rigorous due diligence and seamless execution.
  • Work with the business where needed to enhance and execute the business-related initiatives.
