IT Support – Field Technician

Job Overview

The IT Support staff will play a key role in the development, installation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure across new Villa projects and expansions. The position primarily focuses on structured cabling, infrastructure setup, and providing technical assistance to the project team under the supervision of the IT Head and Project Manager.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in setting up IT infrastructure in new developments.
  • Execute basic electrical wiring, structured cabling, and termination work (LAN, fiber, and low-voltage systems) according to provided drawings and instructions.
  • Support the installation and labeling of data outlets, patch panels, racks, conduits, and cable trays as per standards.
  • Perform cable testing, verification, and documentation under the supervision of senior technicians or project leads.
  • Assist in the setup and configuration of basic networking equipment such as switches, ONUs, and Wi-Fi access points under supervision.
  • Support maintenance and troubleshooting of structured cabling and GPON systems during and after deployment.
  • Follow IT infrastructure drawings, site plans, and standard operating procedures to ensure quality and safety compliance.
  • Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and internal departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of IT rooms, racks, and work areas after task completion.
  • Attend on-the-job training sessions and continuously develop skills in structured cabling, fiber splicing, and basic IT system maintenance.
  • Report progress, issues, and site updates to the IT Head or assigned Project Manager on a daily basis.
